The staff are fine but some are rude but the technicians are great
This is a rarity in today's world: a friendly local pharmacy that works hard to meet your needs. I was having trouble getting a prescription filled by big chain pharmacies but it was no problem here because they aren't locked into a contract with a single provider. They have the flexibility to call around and find the meds for you.
They're located on the ground floor of a medical office building in Little Tokyo which means it's not the kind of place you'll see walking down the street but they're worth seeking out. Parking is easy at the meters out front.
Why is it taking 4 days to fill my prescription? Is this normal? I also hate being treated like an addict when I am only here to pick up my medication that is prescribed. I have been patient and speaking calmly as well but there is an undertone of judgment.
Live nearby. Tried the larger pharmacies downtown. Recommended by a neighbor. The staff was small at the time, but very helpful and friendly. Answers all my questions. I call before walking over. Rarely I've waited 5 minutes. Highly recommend.
BEST PHARMACY EVER
Picking up prescriptions is seriously the most mundane and boring task ever but I love coming to Kyoto Pharmacy! The staff is ridiculously nice and they go above and beyond. They are very accommodating if you need to pick up your prescription after hours or if you need to transfer your prescription to another pharmacy. And they are patient in explaining the medication they are giving you.
I love this pharmacy so much that my insurance emailed me offering mail order prescriptions and I refuse because I just have such a pleasant experience going to Kyoto Pharmacy and I want to continue supporting them.
