Dr. Vipulroy D. Rathod - Best Gastroenterologist i Mumbai | Fortis Hospital Mulund, a dedicated healthcare professional at Dr. Vipulroy D. Rathod - Best Gastroenterologist in Mulund, Mumbai | Fortis Hospital Mulund with expertise in Gastroenterologist. Dr. Vipulroy D. Rathod - Best Gastroenterologist i Mumbai | Fortis Hospital Mulund is committed to providing compassionate and personalized care to enhance your well-being.

I had my 77yr old mother with bile duct blockage issues and Dr. Rathod not only diagnosed and treated it correctly but also cared my mother with the same compassion and empathy as I would. His communication was amazing and kept us informed in every step of the way. He even shared a live feed from the surgery room when he did endoscopy to alleviate the issue including the communication during the procedure. I live in the US and I haven't seen such level of transparency. It takes a person with confidence on his skills to share details and not worry of the outcome. I would highly recommend Dr. Rathod for any Gastroenterological issues. He is phenomenal and I think he will certainly pass it to the future generation. I also applaud Fortis Hospital for having such a skilled Dr. in their midst.
SHOWBLITZ Doctor. More focus on self than the patient. FANCY man. Many better doctors are in mumbai . NOT Recommend at all. No Trusts . When no trust , medicine wouldn’t be effective . EGO is higher for him than patient and patient problem. Absolutely no for this doctor. Why fortis is spoiling their image by keeping such arrogant doctor as head of the department. Fortis is doing injustice to their own brand. He kept me in OT for 3.5 hours unattended and forgot patient is waiting for procedure on 8th November 2025.
I cant comment on his knowledge or profession But yes one thing i can comment as patient you wont feel satisfied and will be intimidating for you. After consulting him when came outside one patient asked review there only from my mouth as he was the previous patient b4 me.i told my experience and he was like worried and was telling how he was worried about his experience b4 me. I usally dont review or comment on doctor but my wife being a doc she accompained me and was saying interaction between patient is totally unprofession and very intimidating for her too. Lastly i would say if you have a different available means just look for anothe doc who can assure you little relief b4 they start to discuss with you about your problem.
AVOID THIS Dr. Needlessly orders various tests and Endoscopy. Definitely NOT worth Rs 3000 paid for OPD consultation. Not sure who made him the head of Gastroenterology at Fortis?! That tells us that there is a dearth of senior Gastroenterologists across central Mumbai. Finally I consulted Dr Patrawala (MBBS & MD, Grant Medical College) and got cured without the need for any Endoscopy.
In a very simple words very self centric & rather than patient his ego on top. When my father was admitted in fortis, I was already having endoscopy report with image but he did again and suggested we have to go for minor stenting procedure, after 2 days took my father in OT and came back within 2 minutes and said " stenting is not possible, need to keep him on liquid diet", when I asked for how many days , he simply said " till he can take", then he folded his hand and said "please leave now". I was worried and wanted to ask for which he denied and didn't allow us to communicate. Seriously this is unprofession. When the same doctor has done endoscopy just 2 day before then why didn't he informed that surgery is not possible, why he kept my father on anesthesia & took him to OT. BECAUSE HE ONLY KNOW HOW TO FOOL PATIENT RELATIVE AND EARN BY CHEATING THEM. You can get better treatment from a student or interns of any MBBS college rather than this egoistic person. Very very huge NO for this egoistic doctor. If you really care about your patient and want to save him please avoid this poisonous doctor. And consult good doctor. Worst doctor ever I met
