KUNAL SARKAR's behaviour was entirely unprofessional and deeply disappointing. He spoke more than he acted, and his conduct reflected priorities that did not align with patient care.

Despite having treated and operated on this patient for 26 years, he charged ₹4,700 to visit him on his deathbed. This was not just insensitive—it was unethical and inhumane.
At no point over these 26 years did he inform the patient that he is a cardiac surgeon and that, given the patient’s condition, a cardiologist should have been involved in the treatment. This omission deprived the patient of specialised care that could have been critical.
Such conduct reflects misplaced priorities, a lack of transparency, and a complete disregard for the patient’s long‑term wellbeing.
At 75 years of age, my father was told by several doctors that bypass surgery was not an option. However Dr. Sir took on the case and performed by surgery. My father has recovered remarkably well and has regained his mobility. Thanks sir and your team and also thanks to Alam sir.
I am writing this review with deep gratitude and respect for Dr. Kunal Sarkar. My father underwent heart surgery (bypass operation) under his care, and by God’s grace and Dr. Sarkar’s expertise, the operation was successful.
Dr. Sarkar is extremely knowledgeable, confident, and experienced. He explained the condition and procedure clearly and gave us confidence during a very difficult time. His calm approach and professional guidance helped our family a lot.

I am writing this feedback to share the extremely disappointing experience we faced under Dr. Kunal Sarkar at Manipal Hospitals, E.M. Bypass ( Erstwhile Media). My uncle was admitted under him in the CTVS department however he passed away during the course of treatment. The overall handling of the situation and patient care under him left us deeply distressed. There are several areas where we felt quality of the care and communication was extremely unprofessional and poor .
Lack of clear communication: we had to wait several hours in the hospital/CTVS department to get timely and transparent updates on patient’s condition. Often updates were vague and inconsistent which added unnecessary anxiety during critical time .
Insufficient attention and follow up: Doctor and his team asked us to arrange blood for CABG surgery however they had delayed the surgery for some unknown reasons when the condition of my uncle was stable. However they did the surgery couple of days after when the patient was in ventilation.
We have no words to express our disappointment towards the CTVS department under Dr. Kunal Sarkar in Manipal Hospital, E.M. Bypass ( earlier known as Medica) . I strongly dont recommend any one to go there for any consultation or surgery due to their poor and unprofessional responsiveness and overall insensitivity. However I would like to comment on Dr. Niket Arora . He is good human being and great doctor. I wish I would have met Dr. Niket Arora at the first place instead of Dr. Kunal Sarkar . Dr. Kunal Sarkar left my uncle unattended during the course of the treatment and gone out of station . Dr. Arora took the charge at the last moment when the condition of my uncle already gone worse. We would have save my uncle if we have gone to other hospitals or consulted Dr. Niket Arora at the first time. We have spent several lakhs of rupees for the treatment but couldn’t save my uncle.
